Hon. Ibe is currently serving his first-term as a Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 10th House of Representatives under the platform of the Labour Party (LP).
He joined mainstream politics in 2021 as a member of the Labour Party, and in 2022, he won his party's nomination to run for his Constituency by consensus and won the elections in February, 2023.
