The Senate and House of Representatives have adjourned plenary for three weeks to reconvene on July 2, 2024.
The Deputy Speaker Rep. Benjamin Kalu (APC, Abia), announced this at the end of Tuesday’s sitting.
The Deputy Speaker asked colleagues to enjoy the democracy day and their recess.
Meanwhile, the Senate during plenary went into a closed door session to discuss matters of national importance.
Shortly after it reconvened, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, moved for the Senate to adjourn till July second. This was immediately seconded and passed.
