Without attending to any item on the order paper the House of Representatives has adjourned Tuesday’s plenary over rowdy session that followed an executive meeting

The House of Representatives on Tuesday adjourned plenary abruptly to the next legislative day after a heated session that followed a closed-door executive meeting of members.
The day’s proceedings began with the arrival of the House leadership, after which lawmakers immediately went into an executive session that lasted for about an hour. When the sitting resumed, visible tension and commotion filled the chamber.
Although no official reason was given for the meeting, Parliament Reports gathered that discussions may have focused on the one-week ultimatum earlier issued to the Minister of Finance and other government agencies to settle outstanding debts owed to indigenous contractors.

Moments after plenary resumed, Rep. Ifeanyi Uzokwe made repeated attempts to raise a point of order, but the situation quickly degenerated into a noisy exchange among members.
The Speaker, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas, was only able to make a few brief announcements including a notice of an emergency meeting of the south-west caucus before calling for adjournment.
No item on the order paper or motion on matters of urgent national importance was taken before the House stood adjourned.
