President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate requesting its approval of N819.5 billion as Supplementary Budget for the 2022 fiscal year.

His request was contained in a letter addressed to Senator Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate which was read at the commencement of plenary on Wednesday.

President Buhari said the supplementary budget would be financed by new domestic borrowing, stating that it was to complete critical infrastructure, which has become imperative in view of the devastating flood disaster witnessed earlier this year that damaged roads in many parts of the country.
