According to the lawmakers, internal crises and unresolved issues within their former parties prompted their decision to jump ship.
Their defection was witnessed by APC national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who was present in the chamber for the occasion.
With Thursday’s development, the number of House members who have changed party affiliation since the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly has now risen to 30.
Of the 30 lawmakers, 27 have pitched their tents with the APC from opposition platforms including the PDP, Labour Party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), and NNPP. Two others joined the PDP, while one moved to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
